We are pleased to announce the developing scientific cooperation between the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Lodz and the Lithuanian start-up Misslaboratory. As part of this cooperation, a commercial project entitled “Przenośne i ekonomiczne urządzenie do szybkiego monitorowania hormonów” [Portable and Cost-Effective Device for Rapid Hormone Monitoring] has been carried out.

Dr hab. Konrad Rudnicki is the project’s substantive and financial manager, while scientific supervision is provided by dr hab. Łukasz Półtorak, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz – both affiliated with the Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry.

In autumn 2025, the team submitted a project proposal under the Horizon WIDERA programme, with Misslaboratory as the project leader and the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Lodz acting as a partner. The start-up’s co-founder and the main researcher of the project is mgr Kotryna Gasiulyte, who also works in the Soft Liquid Interface Electrochemistry Research Group led by Prof. Półtorak.

Although the project did not receive funding due to the limited budget of the call, it was awarded the prestigious Seal of Excellence. This distinction confirms a high evaluation by independent experts and constitutes a recommendation for funding under other European programmes.

We would like to warmly congratulate the entire team on this distinction and wish them every success in their further efforts to secure funding and in the implementation of the project.
